What if there was "friendly fire"
What if your teammate casts Meteor Shower and you were under it that it also effected you? Or if you cast SS and the damage hits you to? What if guild wars was like that, theirs wouldn't but of the just running in and killing everything. Or what if it was part of hard mode for those people who don't think hard mode is a challenge. What do you guys think?

HM is just a mode where mobs have higher lvl, faster cast, etc. Its still Pve, which means that i needs to be implemented in NM.
I dont think its a good idea.

In a way, you do get "friendly fire" from ranger spirits. Any ranger spirit you use as an "anti-foe" also does the damage/effect to you
eg: Winnowing, while giving you extra damage against foes, also means the foes get to do the same extra damage back to you.

Friendly fire might be an interesting concept, but I wouldn't want to see it where I could easily have griefers on my team that would try nothing but to kill teammates.

I guess Fire ele's would quickly become obsolete... not that they already aren't.

That is precisely what I was thinking. PUGs pretty much anywhere. It would be hilarious for a few minutes to watch the chaos of trying to coordinate area effect attacks without killing your own party, but then it would stop being funny quickly when it would inevitably devolve into griefing and PK-ing.

I'd uninstall Guild Wars if there was friendly fire. It would be...horrible.

this was alrdy implemented for a short while on the PvP end (due to a lil bug), didnt turn out so well. Only worked with trappers, so it was mostly just a heavenly time for griefers that would set traps before the match started and would kill their entire team before the match started.
lil history lesson for ya ther.

Friendly fire was in the early, early alpha of the game, and was removed because it was not fun.

Quoted for truth. I already want to borrow Devona's hammer and show them exactly what she means by "Hammer, meet idiot. Idiot, meet hammer."

I could see it now...
{Group finishes UW clear, and player X opens end-chest}
{Player X} Holy Snikes!!! a q9 Eternal Blade!!!
{Rest of team , before Player X can pick up said E-Blade} Hey, NO FAIR!!! (immediately gang-mob player X , and wait 10 mins for E-Blade to become unassigned. That - or all kill each other in the hopes to be the 'last man standing' lol!)
^^ Precisely why team-damage would NOT be a good thing
